Feb 2013, PJI member Elizabeth Santalla presented Rome Statute implementation recommendations in Bolivia which were submitted to the Drafting Commission of the Bolivian Ministry of Justice in 2012.
Nov 2012, Manuel Ventura delivered PJI's intervention before the 11th Session of the ICC Assembly of States Parties at the World Forum Convention Centre in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Nov 2012, Dr. Shahrzad Fouladvand of PJI presented a paper on "The International Criminal Court and the Rights of the Accused" at the Second International Conference on Human Rights and Cultures in Tehran. Dr. Fouladvand's paper explored the accused's rights regime of the ICC and also their compatibility with Shari'a law. The paper is scheduled to be published in the 2nd Annual Report of the Non Aligned Movement (NAM) Center for Human Rights and Cultural Diversity.
The Conference was organised by the NAM Center for Human Rights and Cultural Diversity in cooperation with ICRC and Iranian Red Crescent. The conference was opened by the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Akbar Salehi. PJI is grateful to the Coalition for the International Criminal Court for their support in enabling our participation.
